Binary Fission

BINARY FISSION (Simple Cell Division) is a process where bacteria cells REPRODUCE by splitting into two.

In IDEAL CONDITIONS where the bacteria have enough NUTRIENTS at a WARM temperature, they can reproduce every 20 minutes.

The MEAN DIVISION TIME is the average time taken for one bacteria cell to divide into two.
