To test for halides like CHLORIDES, BROMIDES and IODIDES, you can add DILUTE NITRIC ACID and SILVER NITRATE solution.
- CHLORIDES (Cl-) form a WHITE precipitate.
- BROMIDES (Br-) form a CREAM precipitate.
- IODIDES (I-) form a YELLOW precipitate.
