TRANSITION METALS have the same properties as typical metals but they have many differences when compared to GROUP 1 Metals:

They have HIGHER MELTING POINTS, DENSITY, STRENGTH, HARDNESS and they have LOWER reactivities with OXYGEN, WATER and HALOGENS.
